How does editing construct meaning in Titanium?

How does editing construct meaning in Titanium by David Guetta?

Editing is used in this music video to allow the narrative to flow. At the beginning the 180 degree rule is used as he leaves the school, as the camera stays filming his right side. This aids the flow of the narrative as he is travelling in the same direction and the audience are following where he is going. Earlier on when the camera crosses to the other side of the imaginary line (breaking the rule) the camera shows the crossing so not to confuse the audience as the camera films him from his left side and then goes behind before it cuts to the other side of his face. A long frame is used as he walks out of the school to create tension as the audience wonder where he is going and what the woman is going to do. As the boy is escaping on his bike the pace of cuts increases showing different parts of the bike, views from behind to show progression down the street and close ups of his face to show his expression of urgency to get away from the police. The fast pace creates action as it reflects how quickly he needs to escape and allows the narrative to flow as the audience can see the boy biking down the street. Match on action is used effectively as he runs from room to room, however he runs to the left of the shot when he leaves the room, to the right through the living room and to the left as it progresses through the kitchen. The matching helps to aid continuity and allows the narrative to make sense as the audience can see where he is going which creates realism. However the different directions could be intended to represent the confusion of the other people or represent the panic for the boy, like him the audience don't know which way to go/look. Shot reverse shot is used when the camera cuts from a low angle of the policeman looking at the floating toys to a mid shot of his reaction before he runs out and it cuts back to the floating toys. This allows the audience to see the situation before he reacts and how it is still the same after. The policeman is in the middle of these shots which suggests that he is trapped in this supernatural situation- he can't stop it. Towards the end the camera wipes from a close up of the boy's face where he looks panicked, shocked and distressed to a close up of the keys on the counter which could represent how quickly he needs to find a solution and how fast his eyes are moving to find it. It could also show how the boy needs to forget about his feelings, he just needs to focus on resolving the problem and getting out of the house. He needs to get rid of any panic and be strong like 'Titanium'.
