  • The second series in the Trumptonshire trilogy (Camberwick Green, Trumpton, Chigley).
  • Created using stop motion animation (pictures following each other) and actual 3D scaled down models.
Features of the episodes:
  • Starts with the same sequence of a clock.
  • Trivial issues in a small town e.g. squeaky floorboard.
  • Uses a voiceover for narration.
  • Whilst doing the jobs, they are singing.
  • Fire brigade save the day- well known sequence of names- "Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grub."

The Wicker Man 

  • 1973 British horror film
  • Plot summary:Sergeant Howiearrives on the small Scottish island of Summerisle to investigate the report of a missing child. A conservative Christian, the policeman observes the residents' frivolous sexual displays and strange pagan rituals, particularly the temptations of Willow, daughter of the island magistrate, Lord Summerisle. The more Sergeant Howie learns about the islanders' strange practices, the closer he gets to tracking down the missing child. Believing that the girl (Rowan) is to be sacrificed for the bad harvest he finds her and runs off with her into a cave. However he finds out that the person to be sacrificed is him as he fits the criteria: 'willing, king-like, virgin, fool'. He is burnt alive inside a giant wicker man statue with the villagers singing and him reciting Psalm 23.

How does editing construct meaning in Titanium by David Guetta? Editing is used in this music video to allow the narrative to flow. At the beginning the 180 degree rule is used as he leaves the school, as the camera stays filming his right side. This aids the flow of the narrative as he is travelling in the same direction and the audience are following where he is going. Earlier on when the camera crosses to the other side of the imaginary line (breaking the rule) the camera shows the crossing so not to confuse the audience as the camera films him from his left side and then goes behind before it cuts to the other side of his face. A long frame is used as he walks out of the school to create tension as the audience wonder where he is going and what the woman is going to do.
